Areas of practice include recovery from trauma/ PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression and grief, mood/emotion regulation, attachment disorders, self-identity and esteem, perfectionism, relationship struggles, behavioral difficulties, stress management, LGBTQIA+, and difficult life changes/adjustments.
Many people carry the weight of self-doubt, shame, and disconnection from their authentic selves. I’m passionate about helping people quiet their inner critic, cultivate self-compassion, and rebuild confidence and wholeness. I believe therapy should go beyond coping; it should be a safe, supportive space to be fully heard, develop practical tools using evidenced based approaches, and grow into a life that feels more grounded, empowered, and true to who you are. Not sure where to start with therapy? That’s completely okay. I invite you to reach out with any questions. I’m happy to chat about what therapy looks like.

I integrate several evidence-based treatments, like CBT, EMDR Therapy and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga to help you heal and develop tools that will melt away the tension and help you more fully believe those rational, logical thoughts that your anxious mind loves to challenge.
Are stress, worry or anxiety getting in the way of living your best life? Do you find yourself constantly trying to plan for every possible scenario? Maybe it’s hard to get excited about anything anymore, as you find your mind jumping to the worst case scenario. You’re tired, overwhelmed, and struggling to find the energy to care for the people around you, let alone yourself. You tell yourself everything will be okay, that the anxious thoughts aren’t true, but you’re still struggling. Maybe you’re starting to wonder if it’s even possible to ever live a life free of the weight of your worries.

I work with clients struggling with trauma from their past or from their profession to include acute, chronic and complex traumas.
An ideal client is anyone that wants to understand their “why” and better themselves by first, validating their existence and purpose. I want to help people explore who they are, how to create work arounds and strategies for the things they struggle with and to teach them how to celebrate their very existence and reason.

Together, we'll make sense of what's keeping you stuck, build tools that actually fit your real life, and help you reconnect with the version of yourself that's been buried under stress, trauma, or self-doubt.
Life can look completely fine on the outside while feeling overwhelming on the inside. Maybe you’re stuck in survival mode, carrying the weight of past experiences, struggling in your relationships, navigating the messy transition into motherhood, or simply exhausted from being the one who holds it all together. Whatever your situation is, I’m here to help you navigate it. I work with children, teens, and adults who are ready for something to change—even if they’re not quite sure where to start. Therapy with me is a space where you can be honest, messy, emotional. No judgment. No pressure to have it all figured out.

When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
