I have found that our connections to one another, our loved ones, and nature are at the heart of healing and joy. I bring a warm, open, and affirming approach to therapy where I aim for you to feel understood, seen, and emotionally held. My specialties are around healing trauma (simple & complex), relational issues (couples & adult-child families), divorce, grief, and boundary work.
In undergrad, my focus of study was on gender and social history, as an intersectional feminist, I gained a deep understanding of the systems that we live within and how their histories continue to impact us today at multiple levels of our identities.

Growing up in a small, midwestern town, I came to realize that we don't get nearly enough information on how to properly engage with one another in our relationships in healthy and fulfilling ways. As a queer and trans person, the lack of information was exponentially worse. As a therapist, I want to be there for people who recognize this and want to have better relationships with others and with themselves. I also want to be there especially for my fellow queer and transgender people given how lonely I felt thinking that there were no therapists like me. While I didn't get that, I want to BE that for others.

After undergrad, I wanted to understand better the real-life needs of the communities I could eventually work with in a therapeutic setting, so I became a social worker. I spent time working with a wide variety of clients, including those who experienced severe medical and mental health struggles, disabilities, learning differences, poverty, etc. I also worked with their families to repair ruptures in relationships that had been strained by their circumstances. This experience solidified for me the need to approach therapy as a tool to help clients co-create healthy, functioning systems within themselves and their world.

I serve adults who feel overwhelmed by mood dysregulation, those navigating a late-in-life ADHD diagnosis, and women moving through the emotional and physical shifts of perimenopause. Many come to therapy feeling stuck, self-critical, or disconnected from who they truly are — often after years of trying to manage on their own.
My approach is deeply person-centered. Together, we gently uncover the underlying causes of your challenges rather than focusing only on symptoms. Through guided identity exploration, psychoeducation, and compassionate self-discovery, I help you build genuine self-understanding and self-love.

If you have ever found yourself stuck, having a hard time moving forward, or you seem to be repeating patterns that are no longer working for you, I can help raise awareness and empower you to make change. If your emotions are difficult to manage, you feel overwhelmed, or are unsure how to feel better, I can help give guidance, resolve deep hurts, and stand with you in that pain until we can move forward together. If you are unsure what you want or need out of therapy, I can help educate and provide the best possible experience. There is no wrong reason to seek therapy. Regardless of the reason I am simply here to help.

My goal is to have therapy be a space that clients enjoy and even look forward to attending. Through talk, skill practicing, mindfulness techniques, or play we can find what works best together. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment for anyone looking to discover what may be their current barriers. Everyone has the ability to make behavior changes but sometimes need an outside perspective to help us find our strengths. My passion is helping clients learn about themselves to discover what they want for their future selves. Connection is healing. In my work with clients, I focus heavily on the therapeutic relationship. Research actually shows that this is the biggest predictor of success in treatment outcomes! This is crucial because therapy is HARD work, but I believe it’s an effort that we can fight together. There is something inexplicably powerful that happens when we share our stories in safe places with people who care.

I am happy to work with clients of all backgrounds and with a diverse range of concerns. My current primary clientele include members of the LGBTQIA+ community, couples/polycules, and folks struggling with anxiety, depression, body image and body dysmorphia concerns, self-esteem, and general relational issues. Since I work exclusively through telehealth (online audio/visual), I do require clients to be at least 12 years of age as I've found younger folks struggle to maintain attention for very long when using online therapy.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.
Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
How much does therapy cost?
The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.
What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?
Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
