Anxiety, depression , loss and grief, anger management and ADHD are among the many issues I address with clients.
I like to meet clients where they are at. If they seek support and understanding, I offer them a listening ear. If they seek direction and coaching, I offer them guidance. If they seek to include the comfort and insight of their spirituality and faith, I welcome the opportunity to walk with them. My hope is that our time together brings healing, hope, and empowerment for each of the clients that I'm privileged to serve.

I also enjoy working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression , and blended family concerns.
Your child deserves prompt, consistent, and quality services. If you feel like your child is just another number when they've tried therapy before, I commit to building that relationship with them. Since 2003, I have strived to do what it takes to help the kids in our community. You and your child pick the goals, and I will give empathetic and clear guidance. An exceptionally non-judgmental attitude and a healthy sense of humor are the foundation of what makes me successful in working with difficult children and their families.

You’re ready to heal, but having a hard time finding someone you can confide in and feel comfortable opening up to. Your drinking or substance use has gotten out of control, or you’re feeling anxious, maybe depressed . You either don’t have insurance or prefer not to use yours. The idea of finding someone to talk with scares the hell out of you. Maybe you’re afraid of finding help that’s “really expensive” or “too fancy”.

I work with individuals who experience relationship struggles, depression , anxiety, life transitions, trauma, faith issues and other life/mental health challenges.
We all have things that sometimes get in the way of living the life that we want to live. That is part of the human experience, and sometimes you need an objective and kind voice to help you reflect. It may take just a few sessions to get back on track, or you need more time and support to heal and grow. Whatever place you are in, I work to create a safe space in which you can explore, learn, grow and heal.

I provide evidence-based treatment for depression , anxiety, trauma, grief and loss.
I offer a safe, supportive environment and have found empathy, understanding and humor are important in building a therapeutic alliance. My abilities are well suited to people with a history of trauma and who are intuitive and creative. Whether you're looking for short term therapy or a deeper process, my skill level applies to both. Each person is unique and I anticipate and enjoy building a relationship that assumes collaboration. I then work with them toward activating their own healing potential, no matter the age. I work well with individuals who have had treatment failures in the past.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
