The narratives of life can leave us feeling rough and jagged. Sometimes we need someone to come alongside us as we navigate the rapids, and discover the beauty and new form waiting in still waters. I consider being a part of this process to be a privilege and an honor. I serve children birth-adolescence, families, and adults. I am able to address a variety of needs, with a specialization in serving those who have experienced trauma. I provide an encouraging, supportive, attuned, relationship-focused environment, that is mindful of culture, and, if desired, incorporates faith into the work.

You’ve done the work...therapy, self-help, meditation apps, all of it. But you still feel stuck in survival mode. I help high-performing, heart-centered women like you move beyond burnout, anxiety, and trauma through evidence-based, body-centered healing. As a Certified EMDR Therapist with 20+ years of experience, I blend EMDR, IFS, somatic experiencing, yoga-informed therapy, EFT, and mindfulness into powerful EMDR Intensives for those ready to go deeper than talk therapy alone. These are private pay only. Trauma isn’t a life sentence. Healing is possible, and it starts in the body.

I love being a therapist and having the privilege of helping people heal, grow, and discover (or re-discover) their purpose in life. It takes tremendous courage to share with another person what you want to change about yourself. I feel that my role is to be a compassionate guide and facilitator to help you learn about yourself, your roots, your helpful and unhelpful personal habits and patterns with others. I use art, music, psychodrama, dreamwork, intuition and active listening to help you challenge yourself and become the sort of person you want to be in the world.

As a child and family therapist, I believe secure relationships are the heart of emotional well-being. I help children and teens navigate anxiety, OCD, and emotional regulation while supporting parents in building confidence and connection. Together, we’ll strengthen communication, nurture self-esteem, and create a calm, supportive home where your child feels safe to grow, express, and thrive.

My goal is to help clients to recognize and change childhood beliefs that may be preventing them from connecting to their true selves. I assist clients in
allowing themselves to be in relationships that are loving, supportive, and respectful; empowering themselves to see their value; healing the past; developing an internal calm and peace; finding their natural flow; trusting themselves to make good decisions; and learning how to regulate themselves in healthy ways.

Welcome. It can be hard to reach out. It is an honor and a privilege for me to be “let into” someone’s life to work together to address concerns. Gaining an understanding of your perspective and experiences, practicing nonjudgmental acceptance and gentleness, and sitting with painful emotions together are all part of the process. I want to hear how you are experiencing this process, and believe that our honest, open communication can lead to greater trust and deeper work.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
