Somatic Therapists in Hartland, WI
I work with many clients who may be struggling with somatic symptoms (body aches) that come with mental health.
Just pause for a moment and ask yourself which of these words resonate with you? Healing. Rest. Balance. Empowerment. Connection. Purpose. What are you wanting out of life right now? Many people come to therapy because they wan't "something different" but achieving that "different" seems elusive. I can help you "do different". Whether it's for mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual issues, I can help you create a path to feel empowered and achieve the peace of mind and balance in your life.

Accepting New Clients! You tell yourself what happened to you wasn't real, but under the busyness of life you know it was. You see it coming up in you romantic relationships-the same type of person, the same conflict, the same experience that leaves you with a feeling like there's something wrong with you. Or, maybe you see it in your family relationships-wanting them to meet your needs and always being disappointed. Or, maybe you see it coming up in those moments of lost time-your mind spinning around past hurts. No matter how the trauma may surface, you can no longer live like this.

I’m certified in Clinical Hypnosis and trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, and Somatic Experiencing, with specialization in PNES.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating complex trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, and mind-body disconnection. I’m a trauma-trained therapist who also identifies as a person with a physical disability, which informs my work in a deeply compassionate, disability-affirming way. Many of my clients come to me wanting a therapist who truly understands the intersection of mental health, trauma, and identity—and who supports healing without forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. My practice centers on creating a space where you can feel grounded, understood, and gently challenged.

I use a balance of somatic, mindfulness techniques to help you build a greater connection to yourself.
You are ready to feel more grounded, clear, and like yourself. You’re functioning, holding it all together, and from the outside, everything might look “fine.” But inside? It feels messy often. You know there has to be more. More ease. More clarity. More you. Maybe anxiety keeps buzzing in the background, or your boundaries blur more than you’d like. Maybe you're just tired of doing it all alone. You’ve reached a point where “fine” isn’t enough anymore—and you’re ready for something deeper. You want to be able to trust yourself, your relationships, and really enjoy the life you have worked so hard for.

Trauma-informed care, neurofeedback, somatic approaches, and other tools support lasting, meaningful change.
Do you carry the invisible weight of early adversity—emotional neglect, fear, or inconsistent caregiving? Inattentive or unpredictable caregivers can leave deep imprints on your relationships with yourself and others. You may learn to hide feelings and needs, or show only “acceptable” parts of yourself. If you were raised by “scaregivers”—frightened or frightening parent figures— you may have developed survival-based attachment patterns that carry into adulthood and limit your ability to show up as your whole self. Healing begins by rewriting those early templates, welcoming authenticity and self- compassion. You can live life fully

Many of us feel disconnected–whether it be from ourselves, our values, or any other part of a fulfilling life. I believe each client deserves to discover, or realign with their authentic selves.
I believe in an integrative, strengths-based, compassion focused approach. I also believe that humor is important and that if we take ourselves too seriously, we miss out on the opportunity to celebrate our successes and acknowledge the absurdity life brings us at times. I deeply value each client’s journey and work diligently to create a relationship based on trust and connection.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
