Let’s explore what you need to feel listened to, supported and understood. Life is full of transitions and triumphs. The challenge is finding the strengths we already possess at a time when we don't especially feel our best.

With a compassionate perspective, I guide individuals through personalized therapies that integrate mindfulness, cognitive strategies, and somatic techniques that incorporate both mind and body.
I have a holistic, integrative, and eclectic therapeutic view, believing that every individual is unique and therefore one type of technique does not fit all.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming. You might not know where to begin or what to expect. You don’t have to have it all figured out to get started. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable, supported, and understood from the very first session. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adolescents, adults, and families navigating stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I’ve worked in higher levels of care, schools, and both individual and group settings, which helps me meet you wherever you are - whether things feel manageable or completely overwhelming.

Life can sometimes present unique challenges. Traumatic and stressful events may disrupt your sense of security, leading to feelings of emotional pain, helplessness, and disconnection. I believe that everyone possesses inner strength to overcome life's difficulties. I view psychotherapy as a powerful tool that can help you discover and reconnect with your own inner resources.

Everyone’s brain has its own rhythm, and sometimes that rhythm feels “sticky.” Thoughts get stuck, worries loop, focus drifts or emotions feel bigger than expected. I primarily work with children, teens and young adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, autism, executive functioning challenges and emotional regulation. I also support parents, clinicians and educators who want clarity on what’s going on and practical ways to help at home and school. Please note that I am not accepting new long-term therapy clients at this time. ADHD and psychological evaluations are currently available April '26. ASD evaluations are booking into Sept. '26.

Many people with trauma or PTSD also suffer from substance use issues . Feelings of anxiety, fear, anger, grief, depression, loneliness, feeling judged, and misunderstood are very normal. You may not trust the world around you and may not know how to cope with symptoms of trauma alone and will instead seek to numb your emotional turmoil. Both are lonely and isolating issues. Substance use is an outward manifestation of your pain and with supportive trauma and substance use counseling combined, your addiction can be treated as well as the underline symptoms that cause the need to numb your emotions and avoid your reality.

I work eclectically and flexibly with adults of all backgrounds seeking therapy because of anxiety, depression, trauma, and other issues that block our ability to feel peace and joy in our lives.  Perhaps you find yourself sinking deeper into depression, lacking the enthusiasm you once had for life.  Maybe you find yourself overwhelmed with anxiety.  Perhaps you're feeling it's time to dig deeper and heal old wounds.  Or maybe you have experienced a severe trauma, and life has never been the same since.  I am here to hold space for and to work with you on all levels: mind, heart, body, and spirit.

While my personal practice incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques as well as an appreciation for the relationship between physiological health and mental wellness, I mainly approach the process of individual change and growth from an existential and humanistic mindset. I seek to help my clients find meaning and purpose, live in accordance with their values, and meet life’s many challenges with confidence and contentment–without changing what makes them unique. The best stories come with a heaping dose of conflict and adversity–it’s how we rise to these challenges that defines who we are.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
