Sometimes life gets hard and we just want someone to listen and help guide us through in the healthiest and safest way possible. I am a psychotherapist who has done just that for many clients in the 20 plus years I have been in practice. My first priority is to help you feel safe and comfortable in working with me. I am an eclectic therapist that uses different techniques and modalities because I believe every client’s needs are individualized. I am a laid-back therapist that can bring humor into session when appropriate but I am also able to be direct in what I see and what I feel the best treatment needs are.

My ideal client is someone tired of repeating the same patterns, especially in relationships. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma stress, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed and stuck. Often they're the one who holds it together for everyone else while feeling disconnected or unsure how to communicate their needs. they want clarity, steadiness, healthier coping, stronger boundaries, and more secure, satisfying relationships- and are ready to do the work to create change.

Are you concerned about either your children or your primary relationship with your partner? Even yourself? Do you see certain behaviors, beliefs, or other concerns that keep going through the same old cycles and negative patterns over and over? The repetition of the same unwanted thing happening again and again can lead to even more frustration, acting out, withdrawal, bad habits and very high levels of distress. I can help with that!

I specialize in working with individuals navigating complex trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, and mind-body disconnection. I’m a trauma-trained therapist who also identifies as a person with a physical disability, which informs my work in a deeply compassionate, disability-affirming way. Many of my clients come to me wanting a therapist who truly understands the intersection of mental health, trauma, and identity—and who supports healing without forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. My practice centers on creating a space where you can feel grounded, understood, and gently challenged.

Hi! I'm glad you're here! It takes courage to reach out for support, and you’ve already taken an important first step. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by past trauma, or caught in the stress of high-conflict relationships with family, partners, or co-parents. Others are navigating the challenges of disability—whether their own or a loved one’s—and want a therapist who truly understands and affirms their experience.

Do you find yourself getting triggered by daily life. Are you solving predicted problems regularly? Do you feel misunderstood? Are you feeling alone in your stress? Are you tired and/or on edge? These often occur because of current stressful situations, while other times they stem from previously experienced traumas, or possibly both. I often hear my clients referring to their experiences as embarrassing, never ending, exhausting. They often wonder if their relationships can be fixed. I can help you gain inner peace, a sense of security, and improve your relationships. Whether attending solo or as a couple.

You’ve wondered if it was “bad enough” to count as abuse.
In my practice, I do things a little differently. Laughter, genuine warmth, real presence, kind directness and honoring your pace are central to the healing I offer. I use IFS and somatic approaches to help you feel what’s happening in real time—not just talk about it—so we can care for the parts that may feel stuck, alone, disconnected, or not enough.

You're looking for a therapist for a reason. You have likely been trying your hardest to pull things together, but regardless of the constant effort, life is becoming more and more about 'getting through each day'. It can seem like a constant struggle for you, and the hope that this will all just go away is fading. You may not believe it right now, but things can change - I've seen it first-hand. And if you find a therapist you truly connect with and trust, you can actually begin to break apart what's been dragging you down so you can focus on what's most important to you in your life.

Domestic Abuse Therapists
What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?
Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognize that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.

When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?
Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.

What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?
Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.

How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?
It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
