In Person Therapists in Eau Claire, WI

I enjoy working with people to create a nonjudgmental space that is tailored to their needs and goals. My view is that we are connected internally and externally in a web of different systems that impact us, and through understanding how these systems and the client are affecting one another do we get a comprehensive view of what’s going on. When appropriate and agreed upon, I will work with people in these different systems (e.g., family, loved ones, teachers, primary care providers, social workers, parole officers, etc.) to help provide continuity of care and a cohesive treatment plan.

Therapy offers a variety of advantages for children, supporting their emotional, social, and cognitive development. One significant benefit is emotional regulation, where children can learn effective coping strategies to handle stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as recognize and express their feelings in a constructive way, ultimately boosting their emotional resilience. Additionally, therapy helps improve social skills by fostering better communication and interpersonal relationships, enabling children to form healthy connections with peers and family, and equipping them to tackle social difficulties like bullying or anxiety.

I prefer in-person sessions, but do offer telehealth!
Connection is healing. In my work with clients, I focus heavily on the therapeutic relationship. This is integral because therapy is HARD work, but I believe it’s a collaborative effort that we can fight together. There is something inexplicably powerful that happens when we share our stories in safe places with people who care.

I offer both in-person and telehealth therapies.
The therapeutic process is one of endless discovery and self-empowerment. Seeking out help is a valiant first step in this personal journey to befriend yourself. Befriending yourself greatly opens the internal space to invite others in so that we might have fuller, richer, and more wholesome relationships with those we love and those we’ve yet to meet. If you seek to reconnect, or connect more deeply, with your inherent goodness, then please reach out. I am deeply excited by the prospect of being able to share this experience with you.

I have a passion for working with adults of all ages struggling with life transitions, grief, loss, aging, substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I believe we experience grief and pain in all situations in life. Whether you are struggling with a recent death of loved one, experiencing a life change, or have experienced trauma, we learn to adapt and cope with our pain. Often, the way we learned to cope with our pain no longer works for us, and we may feel struck, not knowing how to help ourselves change. I strive to offer clients a person-centered approach toward healing and their desired change.

Since starting as a therapist, I have worked with a wide variety of concerns including trauma, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, couples counseling, and self-image.
