Licensed Professional Counselor, BS, MSE, LSC, LPC
With over 14 years of experience as a Counselor, I have found the most effective way to do therapy is to help empower people to recognize the power and strength they have within themselves. There is hope and a way to get better. I will show you through psychoeducation, learning effective coping skills, and changing/interrupting your negative thought patterns. When you change the way you see yourself you can change your life in ways you never thought possible. Let me help you let go of the fear/negativity/anxiety or whatever is holding you back in your life.
I work largely with couples struggling in their relationship and those dealing with infidelity. I am directive in my counseling. This approach means I work hard to connect with my clients, understand their situation and then provide the direction needed to make effective change and to find peace.
I have experience working with children, teens and adults struggling with a variety of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, other mood disorders, PTSD, ADHD, parenting and personality disorders. I am passionate about helping others increase their self-empowerment and over all wellbeing to bring back the joy in life often misplaced during difficult times. In addition, I have a strong desire to provide accessible treatment within the local community, as well as providing therapeutic support to past and present military personnel and families.

Therapy is about change and hope. Come looking for a space to unload the weights on your world, which might be grief, loss, pain, trauma, confusion, fear, hurt.... but eventually we will grasp onto a lifeline of hope to begin to move toward a position that leads you out from being overwhelmed or consumed by those weights that you have been carrying. Therapy moves at a different pace for each person and care and compassion will be given to meet everyone's individual needs.
