I see you women warriors. Whether you’re a mom, Millennial, or mover/shaker, you’re running on fumes. Part of you wants something bigger, but you're exhausted. You don’t know if you can do it anymore—if you WANT to do it anymore. The weight of relationships, projects, and activities feels crushing. You're always putting out emotional fires. And you feel anxious, guilty, and pressured ALL-THE-TIME. You dream of having energy again. If peace exists, you'd like to grab a piece of it. You want to break free of the burnout bureaucracy, be enough, and dream bigger dreams-but you're afraid you'll fail if you stop hustling to chase them.

Anxiety and/or depression derail your teen’s daily plans and leave them with constant unwanted companions – frustration, exhaustion, and a shrinking self-concept. They can’t control it. You can’t control it. You desperately want them to move forward, but you just don’t know how to help them anymore. Sports and clubs have been helpful in the past and family is supportive but it’s just not enough. You're considering medication, but not sold on that idea. "Surely, there has to be a different way," you think. "I just want my child to be happy and confidently live their life. I want them to know and believe in how wonderful they are."

You’ve spent years holding it all together — strong, capable, and always there for everyone else. But lately, you’re tired. Anxious. Disconnected from who you really are. You wonder if anyone truly sees you… or if even you do.

Integrative counseling blends clinical science with somatic, attachment, and mindfulness-based interventions to foster safety and facilitate embodied healing experiences.
I help stressed, burnt-out perfectionistics learn to chill out and enjoy life. Whether you're a high-achieving student or health care professional, it’s exhausting to feel like you’re always ‘on’, performing, or wearing a mask. Too much of self-control, or overcontrol, makes it hard to relax, be present, and connect meaningfully with others. Overcontrol can lead to anxiety, depression, disordered eating, obsessive-compulsive behavior, and intimacy avoidance. You don’t have to struggle alone–I’ve been a therapist helping LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and other overcontrolled folx get unstuck for over 10 years.

I am trained in breathwork as well as dance and somatic movement, which can be valuable tools to connect body and emotions in the healing process.
I am honored to be a person with whom friends, colleagues and clients have trusted to share their stories and trials and triumphs of life. I believe that our shared connections, compassion and authenticity are precious gifts to our health and wellness. The ups and downs of life often get in the way of becoming our best selves. I love working with clients who are struggling to find that voice of authenticity that’s been hidden by loneliness, comparing themselves to an impossible ideal, or even years of trauma and abuse. Together, we’ll work in collaboration, incorporating connection to mind and body to reclaim a sense of wholeness.

I am an anti-oppression practitioner. So, I want to help you see that you have intrinsic worth and dignity, despite layers of social and cultural conditioning that may make you feel otherwise. Together we'll deconstruct the power dynamics at play in your life, and consider the multitude of factors that have created you.

I believe that healing begins with a strength that exists within ourselves. My role as a therapist is to help you connect with your inner strength that will provide the source of healing and creating meaningful change in your life. I also believe healing is fostered through healthy connection-with both self and with others. I take a holistic approach that honors the mind-body connection and recognizes how our thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences are deeply interconnected.

Therapy is a place for you to name areas of pain, a place to feel without judgment, and a place to reclaim what is yours. Shame is the source of so much of this pain and judgment, convincing you that you are broken. Shame is often so intertwined with sexuality because of the societal silence around the topic. Perhaps sex is painful, perhaps you are more aware of others desires than your own, perhaps you feel empty from running on fumes and enjoyment is the last thing on your mind. Whatever the reason, engaging your sexual health can help overall wellness, and ultimately be the way back into relationship with yourself!

I strive to create an affirming space where you can feel free to fully explore your inner world (even the messy parts!) and how it shapes the way you move through your life and relationships. My approach is integrative, drawing from various theories and modalities to create a therapy experience that feels safe yet challenging. Growth can be ugly and uncomfortable – and you don't have to do it alone.

You want to be the calm, loving, and present parent you never had, but the triggers, the guilt, and the self-doubt make it feel impossible. Maybe you lose patience and immediately spiral into shame, or you find yourself repeating patterns you swore you’d never pass down. You’re exhausted from walking on eggshells around your own emotions, terrified of "getting it wrong"

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
