I offer trauma-informed, psychodynamic psychotherapy. As a Psychoanalyst with decades of clinical experience and personal spiritual practice, I can deeply empathize and lift to awareness the wounds that shaped your inner life and external relationships, creating patterns and suffering that often remain repetitive and destructive. Trained to discern the whispers of the unconscious, I translate current patterns and impasses back to their original trauma and provide a psycho-spiritual process for working through, regardless of your Higher Power. This concise and serious work helps integrate the whole person – mind, body and spirit.

I’m a trauma-informed therapist with over five years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families navigating emotional distress, behavioral patterns, and addictive patterns. My integrative approach draws from CBT, DBT, attachment, and trauma-focused work, grounded in curiosity, compassion, and embodied awareness. I help clients explore the felt sense of their emotions, reclaim lost or exiled parts of themselves, and cultivate deeper self-understanding and growth.

You are “the strong one,” everyone leans on, confident and grounded in your faith, but deep down, you're struggling to hold yourself together, carrying hidden grief and scars, wondering if anyone sees the fragility behind your strength. Despite being resilient and capable, you constantly adjust to life transitions, unmet expectations, and deal with disappointment, depression, and anxiety. You feel stuck, vulnerable, lack support, and question God's will. You're ready to make a change, get to the root of your problems, let go of past traumas, express emotions without shame, and live life authentically. I want to help you get there.

I work well with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families who are experiencing difficult circumstances, relationships, or life issues. There are times when all it takes is someone to listen, and there are other times when life is messy and disjointed and direction is lost. I am able to partner with clients through the most traumatic of events and give unique perspective.

Hello. I have always desired to understand feelings, behavior and the human mind; always been driven toward solving the questions that start with why. I would deem it a privilege to take the time with someone to answer how they can move forward from their situation and how they can deal with whatever hand life has dealt them, as well as being able to diagnose any conditions before initiating treatment. My hope for all clients is to get them to a place where therapy is a choice or no longer needing therapy to achieve their goals in life. Book with me now by clicking on my website.

We all deserve the chance to live a fulfilling, balanced life. Just as we tend to our physical well-being, our mental and emotional health deserves our attention and care. In a world that often prioritizes perfection and productivity over personal well-being, it's important to remind ourselves that our mental health is a necessity. I will guide you to become more compassionate with yourself. It's about recognizing that it's okay to struggle, to make mistakes, and feel vulnerable.

Feeling stuck, in transition, or asking "what am I even doing?" Maybe you’re exploring purpose, identity, relationships, or life’s twists and turns. If you want a therapist who’s human—not clinical—who will laugh with you, be curious alongside you, and walk with you authentically, you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll uncover strengths, explore meaning, and grow—sometimes seriously, sometimes with a little humor.

It IS possible to live a better life than the one you are now living. You just have to be intentional by taking the first step which is the most difficult one to take. You don’t have to do this alone. It would be honor to work with you to accomplish your goals.

Now accepting new clients! Stop scrolling, take a breath, you've got this! You may be thinking "how will I know if therapy is a good fit for me?" Therapy is not a one-size-fits all, in which I strive to provide a space that is uniquely tailored to YOU and your specific therapeutic goals. The clients I work with are looking to go beyond and explore the "depths" of problems/challenges they face as well as gain a better understanding of what makes them who they are. I connect best with clients ages 11+ looking to heal from challenges with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, depression, life transitions and loss of self/identity.

My clients tend to be intelligent and insightful individuals who come to work with me because they suffer from despair and disorder. They have tried to resolve their troubles and cope with their uneasiness for a long time--often partly successfully, and against strong odds--but they have reached a point where they want extra support and insight in order to finally transform their suffering into meaningfulness and growth. With consistency, dedication, patience and focus, I help my clients achieve deep and lasting emotional transformation.

Psychoanalytic Therapists

Does psychoanalytic therapy work?

Psychoanalytic therapy derives from the work of Sigmund Freud. In this type of therapy, discovering buried thoughts and emotions from the unconscious will help a person work through their difficulties and negative behaviors. Research shows that psychoanalytic therapy can be highly effective, with patients reporting improvement in mood, quality of life, and overall well-being.

How long are people typically in psychoanalytic therapy?

Traditional psychoanalysis is in-depth and is conducted in five sessions every week. Today, modern psychoanalytic therapy is less intense and normally incorporates as few as one or two sessions a week. In some cases, positive change can occur quickly. However, if the condition, difficulty, or behavior is deep-seated, improvement may require many months or years of therapy.

Is psychoanalytic therapy suitable for young people?

Children and adolescents can benefit from this type of therapy. Many kids and teens are often unable to form and communicate their thoughts and emotions. Psychoanalytic therapy uses specific techniques such as dream analysis, symbolism, and free association or word association; all of which can be useful tools for less-communicative young people. Through this therapy, a patient will hopefully make connections between what they feel inside and how the world works outside.

Can psychoanalytic therapy be done online?

Modern-day psychoanalytic therapy is very different from traditional psychoanalysis. While an individual can sit face-to-face with the psychoanalyst for multiple sessions a week, they do not have to. Today, psychoanalytic therapy can be effectively conducted online or by phone. The key is that the individual confronts what is repressed and avoided, and this can be done whether in person or over online video.
