Professional Services Group (PSG) provides individual, group, family, and couples therapy in Kenosha and Janesville for individuals struggling with a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues. We have therapists who work with clients as young as 4 years old, as well as adolescents, and adults. We are a trauma-informed practice that believes that it is our job to help clients reach their goals, on their terms.

After establishing a trusting relationship with my clients, I work towards identifying their issues followed by setting mutually-agreed upon attainable goals; one step at a time. I personally believe that the success gained by smaller increments builds confidence which eventually motivates us to achieve more. My clients set the pace; determining just how quickly or slowly they want to proceed. While some only need a few sessions a month, others prefer a more frequent schedule. As a tele-therapy provider I offer the security of a private, confidential “office” with the ease of “meeting” you anywhere at times convenient to you.

I have worked in outpatient settings, crisis services, prisons, teaching, and have a history of working with community support programs. I focus on providing excellent care and solution-focused goals to address patient’s needs. Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Valparaiso University and is a nationally certified counselor.  Lauren works with individuals of all ages and has experience working in outpatient, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization levels of care.

I have experience working with a diverse population from adolescents to adults suffering from addiction and substance abuse, anxiety, depression, personality disorders , sexual abuse, domestic abuse, and trauma. I focus on psycho-education, incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, to help enrich and enhance the lives of those who in need.

Recovery is a long and arduous journey and I am invested in walking with my clients through the deepest darkness as well as the brightest days. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, thus providing recovery-focused psychotherapy to individuals battling an eating disorder is my primary specialty. I am invested in long-term therapy that hinges on the relationship that develops over time. The ideal client for me is someone who is motivated to move forward and improve upon his or her quality of life, and who has a willingness to try new things, even when they are frightening.
