You are bright, creative, and motivated and yet finishing anything feels impossible. You call yourself “lazy” when tasks pile up and feel ashamed that simple things seem hard. You want clarity about your brain, tools that actually work, and a therapist who gets it. I help adults, couples, and teens untangle executive-function struggles, perfectionism, trauma, and low self-esteem. I’m especially passionate about supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks and couples. Together we’ll kick shame out of the driver’s seat and build self‑compassion, understanding, and systems that fit you.

Being human is a continuous journey of development and growth. It doesn't happen in a straight line—it’s filled with twists, turns, and sometimes setbacks. Taking the first step into therapy can be challenging, and I want you to know that I am here to support and assist you through it. I place a high value on privacy and positive rapport. It's essential for clients know their information will remain private and that they feel comfortable working together. Together we will explore your emotional needs, personal goals and enhance awareness to the connection between emotional and physiological experiences.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns, or reacting in ways you don't fully understand, you're not alone. Many of my clients are dealing with anxiety, trauma (including CPTSD), OCD, depression, or relationship and attachment struggles, often rooted in unresolved childhood wounds. My approach is practical, insight-oriented, and focused on helping you actually feel different—not just understand things intellectually.

Do you put others first, fix everyone's problems, or chase perfection that never feels like enough? Do you feel responsible for everyone's emotions, doubt your perceptions, or repeat patterns that leave you feeling empty? These patterns can fuel depression, anxiety, and deep unfulfillment. For many, the roots go back further than they realize. You may have learned your worth depended on what you did for others, or on never making mistakes. That made sense then. But it may be keeping you stuck now. With deep empathy, I help you connect the dots between past and present so you can develop new patterns and stand on solid ground.

Life is full of transitions, some more challenging than others. These moments can bring anxiety, sadness, and self-doubt, but they can also open the door to growth. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, my approach is thoughtful, gentle, and grounded in connection. I feel honored to work with clients as they navigate life’s many transitions: break-ups, grief and loss, divorce, career changes, moving, starting or finishing school, entering new relationships, or redefining personal goals. Through it all, I believe that learning to give ourselves grace is essential.

I offer both art therapy and talk therapy, and often a blend of the two. I work from a strength-based, person-centered, and holistic approach. I also have experience working within a DBT framework. My goal is to support clients in gaining insight, skills, and confidence to navigate challenges and increase well-being. I enjoy helping clients connect with their intuition, build trust in themselves, and recognize their capacity to move forward—even when things feel uncertain.

Life can be incredibly challenging and exhausting to navigate, especially when feeling alone. Given the current social climate and socio-cultural expectations, navigating who you truly are can feel limiting and confusing. Having an encouraging and supportive space to be yourself can help break through adversity and bring you closer to your authentic self. I believe that everybody has individual strengths. With empathy and passion, I support children, teenagers, and LGBTQ+ folks who may have concerns regarding identity exploration, emotion management, communication struggles, and self-esteem.

This world can be hard to live in, especially if you are a sensitive soul. You may find yourself turning to food, substances, or other means of avoidance in an effort to cope. You may feel shame because of your sensitivity, or the fact that everyone else seems to "have it together" and has figured out how to "adult," except for you. Maybe you're going through a life transition, and are feeling overwhelmed and uncertain of how to navigate the next steps. Or maybe you just need someone to listen and care about YOU, and your needs, for a change. I can help you.

I enjoy working with clients who aim to live their life in congruence with their values. They may notice themselves making decisions over and over again and think, “Why am I doing this? This isn’t me.” I appreciate when people put themselves out there and reflect on how to get unstuck.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
