I work with members of the LGBTQ+ community to address their needs, as well as, spouses of military members and women in the peri-partum period.
The struggles that bring people in therapy are myriad and each person’s situation is unique. As such, my treatment philosophy is that our work together should be driven by your goals and informed by your strengths. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you navigate any of the challenges you carry with you. Although I am a big proponent of evidence-based treatments, I believe the core of any good therapeutic experience is a strong relationship and I hope to accomplish this through warmth, humor, and transparency.

I specialize in helping professional women in demanding careers to manage anxiety, depression, work-life balance, stress & burnout, and financial wellness.
You're going through the motions, but just can't get traction - at work, at home, or with yourself. You’ve worked hard and invested a lot to get where you are, but now you wonder, "Is this IT?" It feels like there’s something missing and you worry you might be in the wrong career, the wrong relationship, or just the wrong life. World events over the last few years have fundamentally altered how we work and live. We have started to deeply reconsider our priorities. If you’re stressed out, burned out, or generally dissatisfied with your life, I’m passionate about helping women tap into their wisdom and rediscover authenticity and joy.

Women , I see you, and I see that your anxiety, depression, binge eating, panic attacks, addiction, (and more), are part of a bigger story that needs attention, care, patience, compassion, and honoring.
Trauma is part of life. The lasting pain of sexual or physical abuse is obvious, but the subtlety of an emotionally neglectful or spiritually abusive upbringing often has similar outcomes of self-blaming and deep shame. It's by no mistake that my practice is called Likewise; I've struggled through the healing process, and sometimes I still get stuck. But I do the work because I value my option to thrive, and am keenly aware that my decision to do so affects those connected to me. So whether you're seeking help for others' sake or your own (or both) I'd be honored to come alongside and support you.

My focus is on helping clients adjust to life changes, integrating pain and trauma and managing stressors. Everyone handles life experiences and situations different and we often aren't prepared to effectively handle the emotional consequences. Whether your pain has been the result of adverse experiences over a lengthy period of time or a more recent experience you deserve to take the time and explore what counseling has to offer you. I use a collaborative approach to therapy with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Sometimes life feels like we are stuck in the mud, struggling to get out, to break free. We may try so hard to get out of this mud, but we just can't break free of it. We may feel frustrated, angry, anxious, helpless, or distraught. When this happens, it can be difficult to know how to cope with what happened or what type of help we need. This can be very overwhelming to deal with.

My goal as a therapist is to provide clients with an individualized treatment plan that focuses on their own circumstances and needs. I believe it is important that the you feel heard and supported in therapy. This helps to strengthen the client-therapist relationship. I aim to meet clients where they are in their lives and focus on goals they want to accomplish. I use different therapeutic techniques to achieve the individualized treatment that the client needs. In my free time outside of helping others, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our fur family.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
