Finding a therapist can be a challenge and for many different reasons. I’m hopeful that this section provides clarity on myself and what areas I prefer to treat. I have interests in all people, all symptoms, all journeys. A few things that are important to know about myself and my practice are as follows: I am transparent. I use a holistic approach. I am an advocate for setting small, attainable goals. Perinatal and first responder treatment are areas of strength in my practice. I hope wherever your journey takes you that you find the right therapist that nurtures your goals and space.
Perinatal or formerly known as Postpartum, is an area that I am invested in providing increased advocacy and support. Teaching how to care for our own basic needs while experiencing a significant change is a common starting point. Later this can look like improving self-worth, self-esteem and thought processes.
The second area that I have a unique skillset in is first responder trauma and lifestyle. Identifying critical incidents that develop into cumulative trauma is a very real and very common problem in the first responder community. Learning how to process those events and cope in a safe way are vital to longevity in the career.
