Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a focus in Veterinary Social Work. I love to integrate the human-animal bond into my work as a therapist. I have special training in animal-assisted therapy and have a therapy dog available at my practice. I have experience with a variety of treatment topics. I love to work with clients to help process grief, loss, and life transitions. I also have special experience working with individuals experiencing pet loss, which is often an overlooked or undervalued treatment area.
I have a very eclectic therapy style. I pull from many different treatment modalities in order to best meet the client's needs. I have experience with adolescents, adults, and families. I feel that therapy works best when the client and therapist are clear about treatment goals. And for that reason, I offer very clear and open communication with clients.
I have known I wanted to be a therapist for most of my life. I lost a parent at a young age and there was a time I really needed a good, quality therapist. I did not have a positive experience, and I use that to motivate me to truly meet people where they are. I have found that to be the best environment to encourage and produce positive change.
