I try to keep therapy as simple as possible. I believe therapy can provide straightforward answers to the problems of everyday living and relating to others. I want to help you feel better through helping you change how you respond to stress and uncomfortable emotions. I want to help you find meaning and understanding. I want to help you change or give up habits you do not want in your life. I want to teach you about how to eliminate the fears that prevent you from creating the relationships you want in your life. open mindedness and a willingness to try different ways of living in balance with yourself.
I am not bound by traditional therapeutic approaches or beliefs that might not work for some people. For example, I endorse 12-Step, but realize not everyone needs to use AA/NA to stay sober. I recognize many different approaches that work as well for treating depression, anxiety or ADHD. I believe everyone requires a different approach.
