Welcome! I'm currently accepting clients and enjoy working with people who are experiencing barriers to living the life they want to live. The majority of my work has been with helping adolescents and young adults navigate that (sometimes awkward) transition between childhood and adulthood, and I specialize in working with those experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, suicidal ideation, and self-harming behaviors, as well as those navigating the perinatal and postpartum phases of life. I tailor my approach to your specific needs (and comfort level), but most often draw from EMDR, ACT, and DBT.

We all face times when we feel stuck, overwhelmed, flooded, or disconnected from who we truly are. I help clients understand—and even befriend—the parts of themselves they may blame for their struggles. Once we recognize the needs these parts are trying to meet, we can move forward with more freedom and flexibility. I try to help my clients reconnect with their innate energy, wisdom, and confidence. My approach is informal, spontaneous, and deeply collaborative.

Most individuals at any age have felt "stuck" and believe they have no way out of their situation, so "they make do". There is always away to make changes "get unstuck" set new goals or revisit the old goals and dreams once had. Getting "stuck" can result in giving up "making do" or not making the healthy changes in our life to be content and happy. In addition, if we have children, grandchildren or others in our lives that look up to us we can be a good role model. I believe that getting unstuck in negative situations, creating and meeting goals and fulfilling ones' dreams is possible. It was for me.

I strive to make therapy a collaborative process, focusing on creating a safe space and normalizing experiences that often go undiscussed. I'm in the passenger seat with you, not steering the car. My interest in psychology began in college, and it just clicked for me. I've always been fascinated by the mind and motivated to help people. I love helping people with anxiety and seeing them make positive changes. Working with OCD aligned well with my focus on anxiety and felt like a natural progression in my career. At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for OCD.

Therapy is a place to pause, reflect on what you are seeking in life and explore the barriers preventing you from taking that next step in your journey. Life changes or chronic situations can throw us off course, leaving us to feel out of sync, confused, & disconnected from life. Whether you are looking to reconnect, find purpose, learn new coping skills, process trauma or loss, manage anxiety, deal with shame or make a life changing decision, therapy can be a safe place to discover the power you have within yourself to design your own solutions & find new ways to navigate challenging situations.
