Life can be painful, overwhelming, and confusing at times. It is easy to become discouraged and want to give up when things are not going our way. But even though we may feel tired, weak, or demoralized, in reality we have many unrealized strengths and can learn new, more effective ways of dealing with the many challenges that life throws our way.

My background is in working with adult clients with mood-related problems (depression, Bipolar Disorder), anxiety, anger, stress management, adjustment issues, interpersonal problems, personality disorders, and substance use issues. I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches to guide the counseling process and help you work toward your goals.

My counseling style is conversational. I focus on providing a supportive and encouraging context in which you can clarify your values, needs/wants, as well as learning healthy ways to pursue your goals as you begin making positive life choices. Counseling is a team effort in which we work together to help you create a more meaningful and satisfying life.
