As a therapist, my passion is helping others meet their goals. If you’re feeling depressed, anxious or isolated, or you’re overwhelmed by traumatic events or broken relationships, I’d be honored to journey with you toward a new life filled with hope, purpose and freedom. My primary emphasis is helping men, young adults and teens/older children with the issues they face. Besides counseling, I also have experience leading men in my local church and university. My work with teens in public school, drug rehabilitation and church settings enables me to help parents and their children as they navigate the challenges of adolescence.
My specialties include trauma, anxiety, depression, substance/pornography addiction, male issues and family counseling. I use a variety of therapeutic tools, including EMDR, CBT and DBT. EMDR is considered one of the most effective treatments for trauma, mood disorders and addiction. Counseling may be done from a Christian or non-faith based perspective.
Throughout my own journey with anxiety, OCD, depression, and trauma, I came to realize there was great benefit in talking to someone who understands where I have been, and understands the way out. My journey has helped me have great compassion and understanding for my clients suffering as well as insight of how to guide them to a better place in their lives.
