I am currently working with adults seeking relief from the troubling effects of trauma as it relates to substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The foundation of my practice is rooted in warmth, authenticity, compassion, and humor, backed by evidenced-based therapeutic methods.
I use a trauma-informed strengths-based, holistic treatment approach through evidence based clinical modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Seeking Safety among others.
I emphasize mindfulness and self-compassion to help individuals build softer, kinder relationships with themselves and others. I value and respect diversity and consider myself an LGBTQIA ally. Ultimately, I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own experience, so my work with you will be adaptable to your specific needs and wants.
