Adolescents is a time of turmoil and confusion. There is a tug between these two contrasting feelings and needs. Separation from parents and closeness to friends. As parents we must help our teens deal with navigating their feelings with friends and relationships, develop good judgment, self-esteem, peer pressures, use of technology, facebook, texting, sex, drugs, alcohol use. Creating boundaries and decision making skills, giving a balance of freedom and involvement will be touched on. This group provides a safe place to share the multitude of concerns that parents are faced with in today's world.
Women deal with loss at various times in their lives. Divorce, death, teenagers leaving home, menopause. This group is designed for women who are transitioning. The group will begin on January 18 at 6pm and run for eight weeks.
This women's group meets once a week to discuss issues during times of grief and loss. Through open discussion in an intimate setting this small group shares the challenges faced inevitably by loss. I facilitate by creating a safe space where each member can share their story.
