Sometimes being human is hard. I see therapy as a place to be with that experience, whatever it may be. To connect, explore, and try things out. To be vulnerable while learning to set healthy boundaries. To understand yourself in relation to your past, your present, your experiences and relationships. My job is to help you feel safe enough to both accept yourself and grow toward who you want to be.
My trauma-informed approach blends mindfulness, acceptance, and self-compassion delivered with authenticity, kindness and humor. I believe that we all come to be who we are through understandable combinations of nature (how brains and bodies work) and environment (relationships and experiences).
I have experience working with university students, older adults, caregivers, and people with chronic illness. I have a special interest in supporting those working for social and economic justice.
