About
I am a licensed clinical social worker since 2010. I received my masters degree from Newman University in Colorado Springs. My personal difficulties taught me to be compassionate to myself and others. Asking questions instead of telling someone who they are is a tangible tool that leads to listening to our own truth instead of feeling okay only if someone else says we are. It can be difficult work, and the rewards are tremendous as we unwind the trauma to see the gifts hidden by the hurts. The journey from trauma to trust is a leap of faith. This is why I identify with the Phoenix as a way to come thru the ashes and move forward.
I am an empathic, heart centered, authentic person which came from an early loss due to my mothers illnesses and subsequent suicide. This gave me a lifetime of building skill, compassion, and breaking stigma about almost anything. I am a real person and can go deep with my clients without fear. I also focus on relational trauma (or attachment disorder).
I invite you to reach out, ask questions, and own the journey of self reflection as a tool to empower you through your life. My counseling style is client centered and that the client is the expert in their experience. My "job" is it witness, ask questions to assist you to listen to yourself, and walk with you toward your goals.
