Welcome to Wendy Freire Counseling & Wellness! I am passionate about working with you to help you find a resolution to the issues and concerns that you may have in a caring & supportive environment. My clients will become more self-aware and understand how their negative thinking is causing their emotional distress. Clients will learn tools such as positive thinking, mindfulness, maintaining a sense of gratitude and hope, and grasp the connection between the mind, body & spirit. We are the architects of our lives and it is our responsibility to make the changes in ourselves that we have control of in order to be happy and fulfilled.
I strongly believe in taking care of the mind, body and spirit. This will set forth the positive changes in our lives that we greatly desire. I incorporate an eclectic approach in my work with clients. It is important to guide clients by providing practical tools that they can use. I am passionate about helping others reach social-emotional growth.
I am truly passionate about my career as a Mental Health Counselor. I am a caring, empathetic, and compassionate person. I want to help and support you in your desire for healing and personal growth. I am also a Guidance Counselor in the NYC Department of Education with over 20 yrs of experience successfully counseling individuals, groups, & families.
