About
Change is the one constant in our lives. It can also be an experience we may find the most challenging and unsettling. When the change is one we want to make and perceive as positive, it can still be difficult.
Frequently transition times--births, marriage, illness, job change--cause our everyday coping skills to fail us. These are times when therapy can be a useful place to talk through the issue and learn new skills or amend old strategies. Difficult times may lead to positive changes we never anticipated, upset can become an opportunity.
As a therapist for over 30 years, it has been my privilege to work with many people who are struggling with their current situations. I continue to be impressed by how resilient people can be in the face of extremely challenging circumstances.
