Life is about growth. A significant component of growth is changes unique to our life events. For children and adolescents, growth and development present challenges and difficulties. However, for neurodiverse children and adolescents (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, slow processors), these challenges may be more significant. Military veterans are another unique culture I support. Our warriors work hard to protect us and accomplish their missions with honor. When they return from deployments, they often suffer from chronic pain and the after-effects of trauma, and they can have a difficult time transitioning to civilian life.
I supported neurodiverse children (ADHD, Autism, etc) in my previous role as a school counselor, enabling them to succeed and develop their unique abilities. As a veteran with 20 years of service and several deployments, I can empathize with a deep understanding of military culture and support military members and their families.
Whether working with children or adults, I strive to develop a positive and trusting therapeutic relationship essential to the process. Therefore, I dedicate time to creating a safe, comfortable, warm atmosphere where clients can express themselves openly and safely. I am excited about collaborating with you on your wellness journey.
