If you are ready to make some changes in life that are likely to result in improved mental health, improved quality of life, and general well being; you came to the right place! My approach in counseling is in general to look at the person as a whole; not as their symptoms of problems. I use holistic, solution focused, and trauma informed models to work together to create a unique plan to reach your personal goals. I learn towards techniques that help individuals free up emotional stress, live a more intentional life, and move towards more effective communication with those important to them.
I take a client-centered approach to therapy, meaning your goals, comfort, and lived experiences shape our work together. I integrate evidence-based techniques with a warm, direct style to help you make meaningful progress. My focus is on helping you gain clarity, build resilience, and apply what you learn in counseling to your daily life.
In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and grounded. We'll take time to talk about what brough you in, what you're hoping to change and what support looks like for you. I'll ask gentle questions to get a clearer picture of your history and current concerns, but there's no pressure to share more than you're ready for.
