My view of human nature is one full of strength and resiliency. We all have the desire to live healthy and productive lives, but at times we face the challenges of unexpected life events, loss, and stressors. This is where a positive, validating and accepting relationship with your counselor becomes invaluable. Counseling provides a client dedicated time focused on present day issues as well as past experiences still impacting overall wellbeing. Empowerment, believing in yourself and learning how to like, love and accept your whole person is my goal as your therapist.
My hobbies are photography, football and time with loved ones.
Areas of specialty are anxiety disorders, depression, ADD/ADHD, adjustment to a variety of life changes, stress management, relationship issues, trauma, self-esteem, confidence, developing a strong sense of self, assertiveness skills, women's issues and anger management.
In my years working as a counselor, I have worked with survivors of domestic violence, college students, adults with serious mental illnesses and adults. I have also led support groups and workshops on stress management, women's issues, and managing anxiety.
