I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapy who enjoys working clients 15 and older. My passion is working with both individuals and couples and helping them navigate life graciously and with self compassion. I view the therapeutic relationship to be compassion filled and client-centered, meeting the client where they are at. I believe in utilizing a strength-based, holistic approach in working with clients, and I focus on relationships for the basis of making change.

I like to incorporate my creative spirit into therapy and I believe people of all ages can increase their self-awareness and express their feelings through movement. I utilize a multifaceted approach to achieve mind-body healing. In my therapy practice, I integrate techniques from EMDR, CBT, play therapy, and trauma-responsive yoga. I am passionate about tailoring my approach for each individual and couple, and I strive to make therapy a positive and impactful journey.

Hello and welcome! I enjoy working with children (ages 6 to 11) as well as adults and couples. I provide a safe and comfortable environment where you can discuss your feelings and difficulties. I will assist you in identifying the goals you would like to set for yourself and provide you with the education and tools available to understand and approach the struggles you are experiencing. I have enjoyed working in the mental health field since 2006 and in private practice since 2009.

You’ve been feeling “off” for a while now. Your life isn’t necessarily falling apart but you’re not happy. You’ve thought about going to therapy many times but then you end up procrastinating. You tell yourself you should be able to figure this out on your own and that therapy is for people with problems worse than yours. But lately something has tipped the scales. Most of the time you handle your emotions pretty well but now it’s too much with everything you have going on. You’re stressed, anxious or depressed. Some days you’re not even sure how you feel.

Kim Tallon, LISW, CEDS, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist specializing in eating disorder treatment and related mental health concerns. Kim is also a trained yoga teacher and holds a certification in yoga-informed psychotherapy. Kim utilizes a team approach, working with each client to highlight strengths and identify solutions to support the client in their healing and recovery. Kim uses DBT, CBT, ERP, Motivational Interviewing, and the mind/body perspective while working with her clients, and will adjust each therapy experience to meet the need of each individual.

I'm offering telehealth/online sessions during the pandemic to help with any anxiety, stress, depression, loneliness, or grief you may be experiencing. As a clinician I utilize a holistic and trauma-sensitive approach when meeting in sessions. I strive to develop an environment of connection, safety, and comfortability for you to be able to discuss your concerns. My primary areas of specialty are children, adolescents, chronic illness and family concerns. I am also passionate about working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ and/or non-binary.

There is no one approach for everyone, so I like to utilize many forms of therapy with clients, allowing a person-centered, humanistic, and eclectic approach. I also incorporate aspects of spirituality if desired, and am open to all beliefs. I mainly work with adults but am also interested in working with teens. My therapy is intuitive and empathic, which invites individuality to shine.
