My practice is primarily family therapy where multiple family members participate. The majority of the families I work with have at least one, if not many, of the following diagnoses: AD/HD, oppositional defiant disorder, selective mutism, learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, pragmatic communication, etc), social communication disorder, autism, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and/or bipolar disorder. I actively use Accelerated Resolution Therapy(ART) to help people gain relief from trauma and persistent unwanted thoughts. I also offer comprehensive reports for social security applications.

We are Dr. Amen Certified Brain Health Professionals and believe that mental health is equal to the health of your brain. We offer multiple brain health assessments to determine the conditions you are experiencing as well as the brain systems affected. We address any issues with natural, brain-formulated supplements and IASIS MicroCurrent Neurofeedback to support and heal the brain without toxic medications and their unwanted side effects. We offer Brainspotting and counseling for those with traumatic experiences in need of additional support.

Brooks Psychology: Women's Wellness. The foundation of my therapeutic approach is a combination between Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy with an implementation of Creative Arts. My sessions are forward focused in which the treatment plan is focused on areas of growth. With that said every treatment plan created is personalized for the individual based on their needs, wants and symptoms, but is catered to female oriented issues. I graduated from the University of Houston Victoria- Katy campus with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed my undergraduate studies at Sam Houston State University where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

Life's Journey Counseling and Community Services is a group practice comprised of experienced Licensed Professional Counselors specialized in working with children and adults who face challenges in life. We have bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Mandarin or English/Russian) speaking counselors.

My passion is treating clients who have endured trauma. I'm trained in EMDR. I combine EMDR with narrative therapy to help clients resolve and reprocess the traumatic event. I love working with clients who suffer from depression, bipolar, and personality disorders. I also work with couples and families who are in crisis. I am also endorsed by the American Psychotherapy Association as a Board Certified Professional Counselor.

Drawing on a desire to help people overcome obstacles in their personal relationships, my professional work involves counseling individuals and families in order to achieve conflict resolution and better communication. As a neutral third party, I am better able to identify the challenges my patients face and facilitate positive change.
