As past Chief of Allied Staff of a inpatient psychiatric hospital plus 20+ years of private practice, I provide a strong base of clinical skill and experience for all my clients. Through building improved perception, insight,and judgment supported by the accepting psychotherapeutic relationship, my goal is to enable clients to effect positive change in their lives through awareness and resolution of issues. My practice focuses on the family as well as individual behavioral/emotional problems of children, through Play Therapy, and adolescents and adults. As a board certified neurotherapist and licensed professional counselor, I can identify the cause of your symptoms including anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep, behavior, performance, and memory issues, among many others. Research has shown you can link these symptoms to specific brain regions and train the brain to function more effectively. Optimize Mind Care specializes in QEEG ("brain mapping") and Neurofeedback ("brain training" or EEG biofeedback). These methods are brain-based techniques that create a treatment approach based on biology and a patient's symptoms, instead of symptoms alone, in order to address the root cause.

My sessions are forward focused in which the treatment plan is focused on areas of growth. With that said every treatment plan created is personalized for the individual based on their needs, wants and symptoms, but is catered to female oriented issues.
