At Psychotherapy With Hope, we specialize in helping people find hope and purpose in the midst of their trauma and loss. We are privileged to work with Active Duty and Retired Service Members dealing with both combat and sexual trauma as well as individuals/couples/families facing depression, anxiety, and codependency. Our personal belief and foundation for treatment is that those who are motivated for healing can heal, no matter what they've been through. Practicing as a psychologist is more than a profession to me. It is my vocation and my purpose in life to promote the Elevation of the Human Experience for each of my patients. I believe Human Beings can find true happiness despite the cards they were dealt in life and the influences that have kept them from being their best self. Personally and professionally, I had to overcome many obstacles to see my ambitions through. It is for these reasons that I developed an inclination towards assisting people to meet their goals and address their own concerns within therapy. I specialize in working with teens who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, school related issues and substance abuse. Your teen can expect to acquire tools needed to gain a sense of control, manage difficult emotions, and feel more confident in their relationships, friendships, and decision-making process.

I truly believe that while you may come in broken, by faith, you can leave healed! I approach therapy in a collaborative manner with my clients. To effectively collaborate, I have a "no walking on eggshells" policy in our therapeutic space. Hold on, Faith! What does a “no walking on eggshells” policy mean? This policy empowers my clients to present what they may think are the “icky” parts of themselves without fear of being unrighteously judged in therapy. I will work to earn your trust so have faith in me, yourself, and the process as part of your healing journey.

I believe that we are created with potential for balance and harmony, however, life is not always easy, we may struggle at times to reach this balance. When we get "stuck" or face difficult challenges, we must first identify which areas of life need adjusting or strengthening, and then, we set out to make the necessary changes. Whether it is physical, emotional, spiritual or mental unbalance, we can positively impact our lives by starting to work in one area, and, since they are all connected, the rest will follow. The mind-body connection is undeniable, research and science favor an integrated approach to behavioral health.

I do not accept insurance, as I believe care should be authentic and person-centered without coding or billing guidelines dictating care.
