I counsel individuals (teens, adults, athletes) with stress, anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, and relationship struggles. Additionally, I help couples repair their relationship and connect on a deeper level.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I find genuine joy in helping others discover, cultivate and nurture their unique gifts and personal strengths. With over 15 years of counseling and therapy experience, I treat all ages and backgrounds, and specialize in Couples/ Family Therapy and Individual therapy, all Mood/Depressive and Anxiety Disorders, Grief and Loss, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders/ Developmental Delays, and Trauma.

My specializations include couples and marital counseling, individual therapy, behavioral health (i.e., the mind-body connection), mindfulness training, stress management, values/goals clarification, LGBT issues, and hypnosis. Understandably, clients want results that are both fast and lasting, so I tend to use some type of brief, solution-focused model in my work. I also have considerable experience utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a method that is both quick and effective for relationship/family/parenting problems, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, chronic pain, guilt, insomnia, medical impairments, work stress, anger/resentment, smoking addiction, and many other difficult issues.

Life challenges can cause us to feel anxious, depressed, and overwhelmed. Together we will create a new path to a more balanced and peaceful lifestyle. I will provide you with a safe, non-judgmental environment where we can explore the challenges you may be facing. The goal during the counseling sessions is to self-explore and to identify healthy coping skills to help you achieve self-improvement and create healthy connections. I work with individuals, couples, and families. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman Method Couples Counseling and I am fluent in English and Spanish.

Matt's experience includes working with adults and adolescents dealing with a variety of issues including: marriage and family struggles, drug and alcohol addiction, sexual addiction, men's issues, depression, divorce mediation and other life struggles. Additionally, Matt is a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist (CART) experienced in helping individuals work through anger.

I offer include individual therapy for adolescents and adults, marriage/couple’s therapy, family therapy, parent coaching and advocacy support, educational in-service hours (CPEs), and other public speaking engagements.

We all have inner wisdom which holds the answers to our questions. At the center of our beings we know who we are and what we want but getting there can sometimes be difficult. Using sound innovative psychotherapeutic techniques I work with my clients towards their goals. Whether I work with individual, couples, families, or groups, I understand the importance of a healthy relationship, excellent rapport, non-judgment, honesty and the need for confidentiality in working towards these goals. I also now offer Telehealth/Virtual sessions.

Sometimes our ability to accept what we can't change is tied to our willingness to change what we can. It has been my privilege to work with diverse populations across Texas, Louisiana and Alaska, including residential substance abuse, Youth & Families and Active Duty Military & their families. I use CBT, strength-based and existential modalities to help a client reach their goals, problem solve and manage their mental health needs. I help facilitate cognitive and behavioral changes that will lead to greater understanding..... Change is achievable.

My ideal client is someone who has been hurt or traumatized, they need comfort, they are desiring someone to listen to them and care deeply for them; they are seeking meaning and resolution from all the hurts, habits, and hang-ups in their life.

Dr. David Pulley "Dr. Dave" earned his bachelor's in psychology from Howard University in DC and obtained both his Master's and Doctorate from Chestnut Hill College in PA. His Doctorate degree is in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy and a specialization in the subject of Soul Mates. As a result, he is known as an expert on soul mates and a pioneer of some of the clinically based models and theories on the subject. Dr. Pulley has created a team of clinical consultants (Tender Loving Care Clinical Consultations) who provide psychologically based consultative support for their client base.

I have over 20 years of experience working with adults, adolescents and their families who are dealing with a variety of behavioral health, alcohol and drug abuse issues. My experience has shown me that by changing unhealthy patterns, expressing fears and concerns and taking gentle risks, it is possible to live a satisfying life regardless of what or how long your struggle. I use a combination of techniques depending on issues presented and we will work together on both short and long term goals.

I desire to create a safe place for those in need of a listening ear and establish genuine connection and support. I have sat with clients who have experienced trauma related to domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood abuse, pregnancy loss, abortion and a host of other struggles that people have encountered.
