Dr. David Pulley "Dr. Dave" earned his bachelor's in psychology from Howard University in DC and obtained both his Master's and Doctorate from Chestnut Hill College in PA. His Doctorate degree is in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy and a specialization in the subject of Soul Mates. As a result, he is known as an expert on soul mates and a pioneer of some of the clinically based models and theories on the subject. Dr. Pulley has created a team of clinical consultants (Tender Loving Care Clinical Consultations) who provide psychologically based consultative support for their client base.

I have worked in private practice, university clinics, and hospital settings across the country including Lucille Packard Children's Stanford and Texas Children's Hospital. I have over 20 years experience working with kids, teens, and adults with a wide range of mental health and behavioral conditions. Including kids with ADHD, Autism, Learning DIsabilities, and Grief. I specialize in working with women with Post Partum Depression, Adoption, and Infertility, couples, and family counseling. I completed training with Bo's Place. I was awarded graduate fellowship in Distress Screening from Yale University .

I also have expertise in familial relationships and dynamics centered around the discovery of a new family associated with adoption or non-paternal events. Working as a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in helping people cope with their issues. I guide my clients in a way that utilizes both their heads and their hearts. Earning my Bachelors of Science in Psychology as well as my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling has provided me with the knowledge, skill, and technique to work towards guiding clients to work towards peace and growth.The desire to motivate people to work towards their goals developed early in my college years when I worked as a mentor for a local community ministry in a small college town.

Our clients are people who struggle with everything from depression to being Empty Nesters. Some are having marriage problems or recently got a divorce. There are those who have been caring for a love one for a long time and are overwhelmed by the responsibilities. Regardless of the struggles, each of our clients want help. My approach to therapy is based on each individual’s inner strength and resources, and resiliency to every day stress and adversities that life tends to present. I focus on practical applications drawn from various theories as a means to provide each individual the most meaningful treatment for healing and change. One of the most empowering and healing methods I use in my psychotherapy is creating a caring, collaborative relationship built on mutual trust and respect, providing a safe environment free from judgment, and support through active listening and empathy.

Making healthy connected relationships in our continually disconnecting world is a vital approach in my practice. I work with children, adolescents and young adults to better understand their emotional state while also addressing unwanted emotional and/or behavioral reactions. Engaging parents, especially those of younger children, is very important to me. I also enjoy working with young adults who are dealing with phase of life issues, anxiety and mild depression.
