Mrs. Rahim started RCCS in 2010. Her first experience in the field in 2007 was at the Veteran Hospital's Pain Clinic and In-patient Area. After Graduation, she spent some time in the Middle East and voluntarily served her time and knowledge with familial issues and women issues. She has experienced hospice and loss, & understands grief and suicide. Her years of experience is wide as she has worked with clients and their families about depression, anxiety, addiction, multi-cultural, multi-racial family and marital issues. She works well with adults and adolescents dealing with self esteem and communication issues.

All of us have experienced life's difficulties. Finding a way to work through these problems and begin to understand ourselves, and grow in the process, is what counseling is about. I provide a nuturing, safe, confidential environment where you can discover yourself, and learn healthy coping strategies . I work with adults, adolescents and children who suffer from depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and other mental health diagnoses. I also work with couples, families and provide group counseling.

I have over 20 years of experience working with adults, adolescents and their families who are dealing with a variety of behavioral health, alcohol and drug abuse issues. My experience has shown me that by changing unhealthy patterns, expressing fears and concerns and taking gentle risks, it is possible to live a satisfying life regardless of what or how long your struggle. I use a combination of techniques depending on issues presented and we will work together on both short and long term goals.

I'm Adrienne Parker, and I've worked in mental health for over 9 years, providing individual, group, and family therapy. I have worked with various individuals giving treatment for Depression, Anxiety, Youth Substance Abuse, Anger Management, Mood Disorders, Adjustment Disorder, Childhood PTSD, Trauma, Self Esteem, ODD, Stress Reduction, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Parents of Children with Special Needs. I use client-centered techniques, including TF-CBT, Imago Relationship Therapy, CBT, Psychotherapy, Brief Therapy, and ERP. I have successfully taught children as early as those in Program Head Start, before becoming a Texas Teacher & School Counselor, and ultimately a LPC-Supervisor . As a child advocate who tries to understand the needs of the child in hopes of helping with mental or emotional turmoil. One may say or think that I specialize in treating children? This would be false, because I can't recall a situation where I could help the child without helping the parents, and even the whole family. Family history and dynamics plays a "Huge" role in your child's development and behaviors.

When life gives you challenges the process of managing those challenges can be real difficult. Having someone to process and find solutions to real life issues can be helpful and supportive. I have a very well rounded background in both adult and child therapy. I have worked with Oncology clients, clients in crisis, couples, families and children with different emotional needs. When I meet a client it is important to meet them where they are and develop a strong therapeutic relationship.

I view counseling as a collaboration between the therapist and the client(s) where we work together on understanding and resolving issues that are important to you. My job is to guide you in addressing your concerns and working towards achieving goals set during the therapy sessions. Empowering you to live a more satisfying and meaningful life by helping you resolve your personal conflicts and increase communication necessary for healthy relationships is part of this process. I work with couples to identify interpersonal stressors to enhance communication and restore harmony. I work with teenagers and young adults on issues of independence, self esteem, depression and anxiety. I have extensive experience working with family caregivers facing illness, advance care planning, death/dying and bereavement. I work with women to enhance their ability to cope with stressors across the lifespan, including infertility, post-partum depression and empty nest challenges.
