I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I specialize in working with teens, adults, and couples. I work primarily with adolescents and adults struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, self-harm, ADD, mood disorders, attachment issues, personality disorders and grief.

I began my professional career as a high school teacher. Working with patients 12 and up to identify and achieve their goals is my passion. For that reason, I left the world of test scores and grade point averages to become a therapist. Essentially, I see myself as a mirror encouraging my clients to confront their issues and a teammate assisting my clients to embrace and harness their innate strength and power to move forward even when choices seem limited.

Working as a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in helping people cope with their issues. I guide my clients in a way that utilizes both their heads and their hearts. Earning my Bachelors of Science in Psychology as well as my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling has provided me with the knowledge, skill, and technique to work towards guiding clients to work towards peace and growth.The desire to motivate people to work towards their goals developed early in my college years when I worked as a mentor for a local community ministry in a small college town.

When life gives you challenges the process of managing those challenges can be real difficult. Having someone to process and find solutions to real life issues can be helpful and supportive. I have a very well rounded background in both adult and child therapy. I have worked with Oncology clients, clients in crisis, couples, families and children with different emotional needs. When I meet a client it is important to meet them where they are and develop a strong therapeutic relationship.

I view counseling as a collaboration between the therapist and the client(s) where we work together on understanding and resolving issues that are important to you. My job is to guide you in addressing your concerns and working towards achieving goals set during the therapy sessions. Empowering you to live a more satisfying and meaningful life by helping you resolve your personal conflicts and increase communication necessary for healthy relationships is part of this process. I provide a warm and supportive environment where clients feel safe to share, discuss, explore, and work through their problems in a positive manner.
