I'm Adrienne Parker, and I've worked in mental health for over 9 years, providing individual, group, and family therapy. I have worked with various individuals giving treatment for Depression, Anxiety, Youth Substance Abuse, Anger Management, Mood Disorders, Adjustment Disorder, Childhood PTSD, Trauma, Self Esteem, ODD, Stress Reduction, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Parents of Children with Special Needs. I use client-centered techniques, including TF-CBT, Imago Relationship Therapy, CBT, Psychotherapy, Brief Therapy, and ERP. I began my professional career as a high school teacher. Working with patients 12 and up to identify and achieve their goals is my passion. For that reason, I left the world of test scores and grade point averages to become a therapist. Essentially, I see myself as a mirror encouraging my clients to confront their issues and a teammate assisting my clients to embrace and harness their innate strength and power to move forward even when choices seem limited.

Earning my Bachelors of Science in Psychology as well as my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling has provided me with the knowledge, skill, and technique to work towards guiding clients to work towards peace and growth.The desire to motivate people to work towards their goals developed early in my college years when I worked as a mentor for a local community ministry in a small college town.

I always like to say God gave me children early in my adult life because I was meant to help children in their own life struggles. I fully believe that God has plans for us even if we do not fully understand them! When our children face struggles that we cannot understand or feel equipped to help them with, we can feel lost and overwhelmed. Children and adolescents are often placed in situation and have experiences that are out of their control.

Is my kid the only one who does that? Do other families deal with is? Am I failing as a parent? What will my child's future hold? I have good news! You are not alone, and not the only one struggling. It can be scary and isolating when wondering how to help your child with their behavior problems, or mental health struggles. I am passionate about working with kids that have been through hard things including abusive situations, foster care, medical trauma, and bullying just to name a few. I love helping kids and their caregivers learn about how their brains work and how to help them heal to move forward in life with confidence.

Wilson Psychological & Forensic Services, PLLC is a full-service mental health, forensics, and substance abuse practice servicing all counties in the Washington State, Houston, and Sugarland, Texas areas. We offer dual diagnosis/co-occurring mental health services for individuals seeking help with depression, anxiety, grief, mood, and substance abuse issues. We are approved examiners for the Board of Nursing (BON) and the Texas Peer Assistance Program for Nurses (TPAPN). This would be false, because I can't recall a situation where I could help the child without helping the parents, and even the whole family.
