My ideal client is someone who has been hurt or traumatized, they need comfort, they are desiring someone to listen to them and care deeply for them; they are seeking meaning and resolution from all the hurts, habits, and hang-ups in their life.

I am passionate about helping teens (age 14+), adults, and couples learn to identify their strengths and to better understand themselves to reach their full potential and live their best lives. My approach is eclectic in that I implement various therapeutic strategies to best fit each client on an individual level. I provide counseling services to a wide range of clients by guiding, empowering, and assisting them through abusive and traumatic experiences, with a specialization in first responders and the military. I create a safe space for those experiencing depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, marital and women's issues.

While it is common to feel "unraveled" when daily stressors or various traumas occur, everyone has the ability to find meaningful solutions. I believe that everyone is unique, so the solution will be different for each person. My desire is to assist clients (ages 10-90), including adolescents, adults and couples, find a balance between a healthy need for relationship and possible psychological, social or spiritual factors within a framework of personal responsibility. After teaching English and Art for 23 years, I experienced the power of expressive arts to unlock inner voices that help students/clients achieve hope and confidence.

My approach to therapy is based on each individual’s inner strength and resources, and resiliency to every day stress and adversities that life tends to present. I focus on practical applications drawn from various theories as a means to provide each individual the most meaningful treatment for healing and change. One of the most empowering and healing methods I use in my psychotherapy is creating a caring, collaborative relationship built on mutual trust and respect, providing a safe environment free from judgment, and support through active listening and empathy.

I love working with clients who are hungry for life! My ideal client knows that where they are is not where they want to stay. They may feel stuck, wounded, or just curious. As a betrayal trauma survivor, I have a special passion for helping women recover from the pain of betrayal. I believe no one should walk through life alone or feeling empty. Life is meant to be lived fully!

I love working with people who are motivated for something better in their lives but haven’t been able to figure out what’s blocking them from having it. I have over 20 years of experience working with adults, adolescents and their families who are dealing with a variety of behavioral health, alcohol and drug abuse issues. My experience has shown me that by changing unhealthy patterns, expressing fears and concerns and taking gentle risks, it is possible to live a satisfying life regardless of what or how long your struggle. I use a combination of techniques depending on issues presented and we will work together on both short and long term goals.

I counsel individuals (teens, adults, athletes) with stress, anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, and relationship struggles. Additionally, I help couples repair their relationship and connect on a deeper level.
