Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of clinical experience in acute and outpatient psychiatric settings, oncology, and palliative care. I have worked with individuals facing a variety of stressors, including grief/loss, life transitions, trauma, mental health concerns, terminal illness, and medical crises. My priority as a therapist is establishing a safe space in which individuals feel heard and can be their authentic selves. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I enter each relationship with an open, non-judgmental perspective and the goal to build on the unique strengths each client brings.

When navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, loss, identity struggles, trauma and more a deep breath may be what is desired yet, life does not stop. Whether you have reached a dead end or you are starting out on your journey toward healing, I am here to walk alongside you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Georgia. If you are looking for help to find your path to peaceful living, allow me to help you find that path. I treat persons with poor self-esteem, grief, depression, and anxiety issues. I provide premarital counseling and immigration evaluations (extreme hardship, VAWA, asylum). I also provide LPC supervision to LPC Associates (Texas only) seeking hours for full licensure. Other services are editing and proofreading papers, theses, and dissertations, and availability for speaking engagements.

As adults, we naturally want to protect children from the pain of loss or the traumatic experiences of life challenges. Children’s response to worries and struggles may cause heartbreak for parents and caretakers to witness firsthand sadness, big emotions, and concerning behaviors. Children and teens should not face the challenges and pain alone. They need support, guidance, and a safe place to process struggles. As a result of psychotherapy, facing struggles and challenges can help kids build determination, courage, coping skills and confidence.

Navigating the waves of distress in life can be overwhelming and bring about feelings of hopelessness. Deciding to seek support and assistance to traverse those waves can be difficult. I was awarded graduate fellowship in Distress Screening from Yale University .
