Counseling since 1992 in a variety of settings, I meet a client where they are comfortable which includes incorporating their spiritual beliefs if that is their desire. One of my greatest joys is helping people find healing as hurt is replaced by joy. Whether the hurt was received from broken promises, depression, anxiety, violence, addiction, infertility, special needs or childhood loss there is a HOPE that restores. My goal is working alongside a person or couple to help them develop skills to implement immediately and in the future to cope with the challenges of life.
In our sessions I will use a multitude of evidence based counseling approaches including Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). During the course of therapy I will explore the relational patterns and interactions that impact a client in both healthy and unhealthy ways.
Understanding why we repeat patterns and learning how to break these cycles leads to a fuller life and closer relationships. Clients find me to be a safe person to work with on their journey. It is important to me that you feel accepted and understood.
