As a social worker, I enjoy helping others cope with whatever challenges they face. From my social work experience, I found that counseling provides a way for me to assist people to work through difficult life situations and then grow as a result. Through counseling we will work together to discover your unique strengths. Building on those strengths, we will find solutions and strategies to help you navigate life's challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work at St. Louis University and Master of Social Work from the University of Houston.

As a graduate of UTSW and Lead Counselor at a Neuro Transitional Center in Dallas, I specialize in adjustment to disability and recovery from Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-Concussive Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury, Stroke and Spinal Cord Injury. Not only adjustment for the survivor but for their families and caregivers. I am passionate about helping individuals work toward having as much control over their lives as possible while providing the tools to do so. I will help them accomplish this through the use of methods that work best for them since therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” process.

I provide neuropsychological testing to children, adolescents and young adults to give an overview of cognitive abilities to determine individual strengths and weaknesses. These abilities include: Intellectual Functioning (IQ); Academic Achievement; Learning & Memory; Attention & Executive Functioning; Language & Phonological Processing; Visual-Spatial Skills & Visual-Motor Integration; Fine Motor Coordination; Adaptive Functioning; Emotional & Behavioral Functioning; Social Skills & Pragmatic (Social) Language. Using these results, I can help coordinate care with your child's other medical providers, suggest school recommendations (including IEP/504 Plans), and provide referrals to specialists and professionals that can help your child maximize his or her functioning and potential.
