I entered the field of counseling because of a desire to help those in crisis or who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. I realized I wanted to be a counselor while working at a local community college. I saw students who were struggling academically but were very bright. I came to understand that there are many factors that go into being successful at life. I have always had a helping nature but didn’t fully understand why people behaved they way they did. Through my education and experience I can now help people in their personal lives, relationships and careers.

Life can be challenging at times, providing clients with the understanding that change is part of life and together we will work together to get through their struggles. I enjoy working with people from ages 16- 35. These are exciting and challenging times. Many people graduate from high school, go to college, start careers and start families. These are times when people begin to get to know themselves and become their true selves. These transitions can come with unique challenges.
