The Telos Project is a non profit public benefit corporation whose ongoing aim is removing barriers to therapeutic, mental health and community services in the state of Texas. Our ultimate objective is to reduce individual psychological turmoil and empower the communities we serve. We serve clients of any age, gender, or orientation on all aspects of daily life and functioning.

Dr. Bean has worked across the lifespan focusing on various difficulties with specific life circumstances and general life concerns. He focuses on individual strengths and normalizing experiences throughout the lifespan and encourages individuals to rediscover their internal strengths. Additionally, Dr. Bean specializes in video games, children & adolescents, and the virtual worlds played in. He is considered an expert in this growing field, has been published extensively in the discipline. He works with children, adolescents, and adults who play video games and their families to better understand the immersive effects video games have upon the individual and resulting family dynamics.

College and career counseling for all ages is also offered here to those who need help finding resources, filling out forms, or just guidance in general. Genetic testing for medication is also available.

Our group practice is ready to serve you and your needs. We have 10 Professional Counselors that are diverse in their specialties, which helps if you and your family need individual counselors to address many different issues. Some of our counselors are experts in children and school issues, while others specialize in couples and relationships. I have experience working with various issues including but not limited to trauma, substance abuse, anger management, physical abuse, adjustment issues, and divorce. I assist clients in overcoming obstacles that are challenging to overcome in their lives. Additionally, I collaboratively work with clients to improve their overall functioning in their daily lives. I believe in meeting clients where they are in life, while facilitating an environment for change. I am an active listener who is attentive to clients' and their needs and wants. I believe the client is the expert in his or her life.

I am very interested in all that has been gained in the area of the brain and trauma research in the last decade and the new ways we have of approaching trauma as well as those troublesome unconscious patterns that drive us. These patterns very often leave us stuck without us even knowing it! Each person has huge untapped potential in reservoirs of which they are sometimes simply unaware. A situation that seems impossible can be infused with new creativity and that produces a very different type of response. Even telling the story is healing - a relief in itself.

Clearfork Academy is a Christ-centered recovery community that serves adolescent boys (13-17 years old) entangled in the physical, mental, social and spiritual bonds of chemical dependency. We offer a structured and therapeutic environment where teen boys experience freedom from addiction. However, with the rise of popular media over the past several years, (e.g. Big Bang Theory, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Marvel’s Avengers, Anime, etc.) self-identification as a “geek” or “nerd” has become more mainstream. We practice this type of therapy and welcome you to come and grow through the practice of Geek Therapy

We offer an integrated approach to counseling, using a biblical worldview and our skills and experience to offer counseling from a Christian perspective, although we also use traditional and cutting edge therapeutic approaches and integrate them into our practice where helpful. Not every client shares our worldview, and this integrated approach allows us to serve clients not seeking distinctly Christian counseling.
