My professional life has been consistently focused on serving people in need. After obtaining my bachelors degree from Michigan State University, I initially worked in the Governor's office in Lansing. I then decided to exercise my entrepreneurial spirit and transitioned into helping guide economically challenged families to find better housing solutions by developing low cost single family homes and developing large tracts of vacant and abandoned land. This work of helping families led me to desire doing work even more impactful, which led to my returning to school and obtaining my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology.

For over 20 years, my focus has been on providing effective, individualized, and research-informed treatment for children, adolescents and adults. I have worked across the developmental lifespan from birth to seventy, and am Endorsed by the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health (Level IV). We’ll work together to help develop greater self-awareness and self-regulation skills to build up more resources – both within you and surrounding you – to face life challenges. Hello I am John Kenner, I am a therapist and clinical social worker. I provide active behavioral counseling and therapy. My practice consists of direct clinical service including family, individual, couples, youth, adolescents , adult and elderly therapy. I use evidence based interventions, client centered therapy and life coaching. I also provide interpersonal and relationship building tools skills and techniques.

I am a limited license psychologist In Grand Rapids Michigan. I have my own practice where I specialize in working with adults and children. I have a CBT focused, Mindfulness approach to helping people with Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, and other cognitive challenges.

I have 11 years of experience providing individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and psychological evaluations to children, teens and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, ADHD and Depression. Jen has had several years of training and experience as an Infant Family Specialist through the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health. Jen’s approach to therapy is warm and non-judgmental. She does her best to tailor her treatment to the unique strengths and beliefs of each person that walks into her office. She also believes every individual is valuable and worthy of finding love and acceptance, and that one key to this is learning who they are and how they can grow.

I am a specialist in evidence-based treatments (EBT), which radically improves my client's success rates, increases effectiveness of treatment, and gets results quickly. The majority of my client's report improvements, within the first session: life-functioning (work- home-school-relationships) and report immediate reduction in symptoms. Reducing anxiety/panic, decreasing depression, developing stronger coping strategies to stress and balancing mood dysregulation are my specialty, as symptoms can result from adjustment challenges to sudden life changes: parenthood/divorce/grief/college.
