Renew Counseling Services was established in 2014, and quickly grew to become a group practice with more than 30 therapists. Our therapists are not only trained in several therapeutic models but also come from different backgrounds and life experiences. ​ The practice was created with the belief that all people can make great strides towards personal growth when ready for change. We know trauma plays an important role in the difficulties many face. We are a practice of therapists trained extensively in EMDR, Expressive Therapy, Family Therapy, DBT and CBT. We have many years of experience, knowledge and practice.

My scope of work with clients includes navigating challenging emotions such as anxiousness and depression, building on social skills, and healing from traumatic events. I work with a variety of clients including school-aged children and adults. As Psychologist Ashley Warner states, "Beneath every behavior, there is a feeling. And beneath every feeling, there is a need. And when we meet that need rather than focus on the behavior, we begin to deal with the cause, not the symptom." I believe it is through therapy we can work to understand what the deeper meaning is behind behaviors and find solutions to address the manifesting need.

I like to help clients with a variety of issues, including adjusting to significant life stressors, relationship conflicts, work difficulties, time management, recent losses, and setting effective boundaries to improve daily functioning. I also love to help clients who are experiencing issues with gender dysphoria, confusion with sexuality, gender identity, and connecting them with groups in the community.

My name is Dr. Britta Caudill, Born and raised in eastern Kentucky, I am a doctorate-level licensed clinical social worker committed to helping people address their mental and behavioral health struggles. I hold a doctorate in clinical social work from the University of Kentucky with an emphasis on trauma response, and I am on track to be a certified first responder counselor within the next couple of months. I will be one of eight CFRCs in Kentucky and the only doctorate-level provider. I have over fourteen years of experience in a social work mental health setting.

I work primarily with adolescents and adults. I believe people, at different points in their lives, may need support overcoming hurdles or may just be feeling "stuck." I enjoy working with clients who have concerns in many areas, including depression, relationships, identity, adjustment, anxiety and worry, stress and life management, or family concerns. I value my work as a psychologist and approach each client with respect for their own unique identity and the concerns they seek therapy for.
