I hold a Master of Arts degree in Psychology with emphasis in counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the national credential of Certified Rehabilitation Counseling. My work experience includes case manager in Child Protective Services, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and Manager, Employee Assistance Program Counselor and private practice Therapist. I enjoy working with children, women, couples, families and emotional issues.

After earning a Master's in Social Work from the University of South Carolina in 2003, I began working at Steppingstones as a group therapist. While I am not recovering from a substance use disorder myself, I have an extensive understanding of the progression of addiction, the process of recovery, and family dynamics of addiction. In addition to addiction treatment experience, I find fulfillment working with the various issues faced by emergency responders, including law enforcement officers, paramedics and fire fighters, as well as people seeking help for mental health concerns.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in psychological evaluation to identify learning difficulties, ADHD, Autism spectrum, emotional, and behavioral problems in children and adults. I am passionate about patient care, accurate assessment and diagnosis, and appropriate treatment selection. I am kind and humanistic with my patients, and will assist you as you work toward reducing distress and reclaiming peace and happiness in your life! My office is quiet and comfortable, located in the Augusta area.

I am an emotionally intelligent and faith-based professional that has experience in working with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), families and groups. I am a highly skilled counselor who has had the opportunity to work with those struggling with substance abuse, behavioral disorders, grief, trauma, eating disorders, culture, and minority issues, anxiety, relational issues and depression. I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor with 20+ years experience in treating issues such as depression, anxiety, anger management, family issues, grief, behavior problems and many other problems that people may be experiencing. I work with clients from diverse ethnic backgrounds and different sexual orientations. I have a unique, interdisciplinary background. The well-being of my clients is my biggest passion. I am committed to helping people avoid negative consequences in their lives and resolve their issues and internal conflict sensibly, effectively, and compassionately.

I focus on serving as a counselor for children, adolescents, young adults and families in an effort to assist them with improving their quality of life. I have 11 years of experience working in multiple settings including inpatient and outpatient facilities as well as a community mental health agency. I will set goals and develop a plan tailored to the individuals needs in order to promote therapeutic benefits.
