As a first-generation immigrant, Wejdan recognizes the value and significance of culturally competent practices. Wejdan utilizes several evidence-based approaches in therapy, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She also integrates aspects of Solution Focused therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.
Wejdan has worked in residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs focused on eating disorders and co-occurring disorders. Her clinical specialization and interest include eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and substance use.
