Devoted therapists and medication prescribers, working as a team in collaboration with you.
Our Team
Hi! I'm Dr. Weingarden - therapist and owner of Weingarden Psychological Services. At WPS, we gave a truly great team of therapists and medication prescribers. We put the person first and view you as an expert in your life while we can help you understand patterns and blind-spots, while building coping skills.
We offer free consultations so everyone can be sure it is the right match, and I can help you find the right therapist in our practice (or sometimes outside). Our former nurse, medication manager, Kris, can pair you with the right prescribers too. We also offer a variety of assessments.

Do anxious thoughts and critical self-talk make it hard to feel confident or at peace? Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, like no matter how hard you try it’s still not enough? Is your child struggling with their behavior at home and/or in school? Do you feel mentally exhausted from constant arguments with your spouse, like you’re stuck in a cycle of tension and conflict? Do you feel as though you and your partner are not on the same team?
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. Your mind is a powerful tool, don’t underestimate it.

I believe each person brings valuable insight into their own life, and I work collaboratively to deepen understanding and support meaningful, lasting change.I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel both comfortable exploring their thoughts and emotions and empowered to make changes that align with their goals. The best way to do that, in my opinion, is building the strong relationship I hope to build with everyone I get the privilege to work with.

I'm dedicated to providing evidence-based and compassionate care, in a collaborative and supportive environment, adapting care to each person’s unique needs and goals.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Tech and completed my predoctoral internship at Western Psychiatric Hospital. After graduating, I completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, where I used neuroimaging to study brain vulnerabilities that can persist in treated depression.

I believe that clients can achieve personal growth and long-term wellness through practicing self-awareness, exploring past experiences, and processing difficult emotions. During each session I aim to provide an environment where clients feel empowered to confront their challenges and build themselves a meaningful, fulfilling life. I practice psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
