I employ a cutting edge therapeutic model called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a powerful, psychotherapy technique for treatment of anxiety, panic, depression, and post-traumatic stress. I will teach you practical tools and techniques that are evidence-based and designed to help you quickly work through your current situation. I specialize in working with adults, adolescents, and military veterans with symptoms of trauma/PTSD, depression, and anxiety. My clinical style is very warm, strengths-based, and collaborative.

I have worked with a broad range of clients with different mental health concerns. I enjoy helping those that feel they are stuck in how they think and process the world by assisting them in learning coping skills to change the thought patterns that keep them cycling through all the negativity. I am someone that will listen, never judge, and give you an outside perspective on what is causing you distress. I desire to work with people who want to change their mindset and are willing to try new things while understanding that healing takes time.

I enjoy working with both adults and adolescents. Who we are is a direct result of what we experience and surround ourselves with. Because of this, a narrative is created. Sometimes the narrative we have for ourselves can be harmful. When a client is experiencing a discrepancy in his/her life, I work hard to gain understanding of how they experience the world so that I can better serve my client's needs. Gaining control of your mental health is empowering and because of this, I work to create an environment to foster growth and understanding within the clients therapeutic journey!

It’s an honor to journey alongside our Clients who trust us with their most vulnerable thoughts, feelings and experiences. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a United States Veteran. I have a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from South University. I specialize in Addiction Counseling with a national Masters Addiction Counselor certification. At Core Counseling we work with Adult Individuals & their Family Members.
